You can confirm the version installed on your device in the App Store, on the app's product page under “Version”.

Troubleshooting

The game won't open, or shows a black screen

  • Make sure your device is running iOS 15.0 or later.
  • Fully close the app (swipe it away from the app switcher) and reopen it.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • If the problem continues, delete and reinstall the app. Note that this also clears on-device data such as your settings and high score (see below).

The screen asks me to rotate the device

Prism Breakout is played in landscape. Turn your device sideways, and make sure Portrait Orientation Lock is off in Control Center.

The World Leaderboard isn't loading or my score didn't appear

  • The leaderboard is optional and only becomes active after you choose a public display name in the app.
  • It needs an internet connection. If you were offline, your score is saved and automatically retried the next time you play with a connection.
  • Only your best score is ranked, so a lower score won't change your position.
  • Display names must be 3–16 characters. Please keep them respectful — see the privacy policy for how leaderboard data is handled.

My high score, settings, or cosmetics were reset

Progress and settings are stored only on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing its data, removes your high score, audio and control settings, unlocked/equipped cosmetics, and any locally saved display name. This data is not backed up to a server.

No sound or music

  • Check that your device isn't muted (the physical Ring/Silent switch) and the volume is up.
  • Open the in-game Options to check the music and sound-effects toggles and volumes, and the music track selection.

Performance or stuttering

Close other apps running in the background. The game automatically adjusts visual quality, and you can also set a quality level in Options.

How to report a bug

Email support@otwistgames.com and, to help us reproduce the problem, please include:

  • Your device model (for example, iPhone 13) and iOS version.
  • The app version (currently 1.0.0).
  • What happened and what you expected to happen.
  • Step-by-step instructions to reproduce it, if you can.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if possible.

Leaderboard data & deletion requests

If you used the optional World Leaderboard and would like your public display name and submitted scores removed, email support@otwistgames.com with the display name you used. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what is stored and how deletion works.
